OK. I might have jumped the gun. The quote sounded as if he was saying that HE believed those things. Looking back now, I can see that perhaps he meant that faculty and administrators believe them. However, if Whipple is anti-Greek then he is still wrong in his thinking, even if he is a "major researcher on GLOs and ...issues."
Greeks have real enemies. Sometimes they are our own members and their behavior. But, Greeks have enemies in the academic community too, for a wide range of reasons all discussed variously on Greekchat. These reaon are fundamentally political rather than educational.
