Which has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that those in his chain of command thought he earned them through his actions in combat.
They don't give out that many silver stars. A stat I saw today is that so far only 172 of them have been given out in the Iraq war. They are serious commendations.
Say all you want, but here is a man who has some courage -- both in battle and in his convictions -- whether your or the rest of the world agree with him or not.
And, I'll ask again, were you there? If not, maybe you should be a little more selective in what you say and how you judge.
