Crazy Events
Well, Cory's wonderful story of the DZ hayride got me thinking about some of my wonderful dates through the years of Formal, semi's and date parties and I was sure others had some fun ones too!
I think my favorite is when I took my friend Phil to AOTT formal my junior year. He was the little brother of my roomates boyfriend and he seemed really cool. Well, he was supposed to be at my house for the preparty at 6:00pm on Saturday(the buses left at 8). At 6:45, he is still not there, nor are ANY of the Lambda Chi's. We finally placed a call to the LCA house, only to find they had been having a beer pong tournament all day and were SMASHED. They FINALLY show up at 7:45, barely able to stand. But instead of just leaving there drunk asses, we pile them onto the bus and head to formal. On the way TO formal, my illustrious date PASSES out, and SNORES. Loudly. I mean, like window shaking. Wonderful.
We finally arrive at the place and wake up the dates and get them into the dance hall. Luckily, there was food at this event, so the boys proceed to consume a massive amount of food and get second winds. We head to the dance floor, where Phil convinces me he knows how to 2 step. He does it pretty well, till he dips me and drops me flat on my ass. Owwwwww.
By this time, the second wind of energy has faded and the Beer pong boys had back to their chairs and pass out again. Thus ending the night.
The funny thing is, I am still friends with Phil to this day and I swear he is always extra nice to me because he knows what a fiasco the whole thing was. But it did make a great story!
