I've held several positions where dealing with the general public.
There will be mixed clientelle.
The fact that winners is coming means this for the "upscales":
They will need to hire more people/put more people on per shift, in order to beef up security. They can all expect a sharp rise in shoplifting.
Also, it means more attitudes from customers, who think they're always right, but half the time aren't really customers.
A customer is some one who will buy what he/she needs, after calling to see if its in stock, can order it, etc. AND has a good relationship with from whomever they are buying. A customer will usually sell what ever they buy to another supplier/distributior/retail front/ etc.
People that come into retail shops, especailly for the first time, are a nightmare. There are million things to do in the store, and now the staff will be interupted by: new people who are completly clueless.
