I had to drop out of grad school after only 1 week b/c the load of classwork, work, new house, & wedding stuff proved to be too much. Add on some drama & personal issues & while I made a good decision, it's one that still haunts me. I now have to go back & reapply to begin again next fall & get that Masters in Literature. I just really want to focus on school & do well rather than be one of those people that just show up & do a half-assed job in the hopes of passing. That kind of crap does not cut it in grad school.

This time, I'll be applying to schools closer to my new home so UC Riverside may *crosses fingers* be my new school. Being a realist, I'll also apply to other schools close to home in the hopes that they'll accept me. They did once before so I don't see why I wouldn't be able to get in again but you just never know.
