Could also be that she was well versed as far as education and knew what to say as far as college, education, teaching, pedagogy, etc.
She definitely slipped through the cracks on several facets: education, the sorority, job searches.
As a teacher, I know all of the stuff I had to do as far as national tests, recertification, fingerprinting. She really had to work hard at her lie. That had to be wearisome to lie that much for so long.
