Now, on top of getting sick....

Last night, right after my soccer practice in the rain, and in my air-headed state of forgetting I was getting sick, my buddy & I went Mountain Biking out to a far away park since we both had already biked to the field to play anyway. It'd stopped raining by this time, and though looking like it may rain again, we set out. So it's pitch-black outside, and in the rain...we're riding, and we have to ride down roads to get to the parks, get there ride around and what-have-you, then on the way back, my buddy misses getting hit by the person-type stereotyped to be the worst driver possible by about 2 inches, which I'm glad he didn't though even if he did, it wouldn't have been fatal, but I would have had him sue her ass off since it'd have truly been 110% her fault. *Note* when driving, try to comprehend right-of-way. But this wasn't my main point, since nothing happened to him right then, though he has been hit before by a stupid driver doing the same thing.
Anyway, so riding home we're going to stop and watch a soccer match and as I'm pulling from the road to the sidewalk, water covers a curb that I cannot see. It's not a huge curb, in fact it's quite small, but big enough, and I guess that's what is important. My front tire rides straight over it, so I'm thinking no problem, when my back tire decides to catch the curb and slide down with it, grinding the curb, sort-of, though unintentional, and I go flying off my bike, and hitting a tree, but only after I do a sliding-bounce off the concrete, a skip, sort of, as my new Specialized flies out into the street. Well, my buddy, MeeHow, sees this, and slows down, and takes precautionary measures to avoid doing what I did (note: I had majorly sped up) and sees how this little tiny, otherwise simplistic city-curb-jump must be performed, and does the same thing, except where my momentum threw me way off my bike, he just kind-of dropped and his bike flew way into the street. He even landed in the street though, so had a car been coming, he would have been in some trouble. Fortunately that car didn't come!
So we get home and investigate our wounds. I tore about the surface area of 1/2 of a dollar bill of skin off of my knee, which bled really, really bad for quite a while, and the same went for my hip. I'd been wearing shorts with mesh lining that was once white, now all red from blood from my hip, and I even ripped the lining from the skip I did. My elbow hurts, but only bled for a short bit.
Fortunately I had a few leftover beers, so we cheered ourselves to excruciating pain...that WoodChuck and Grolsch have never tasted so good, as when they're honestly deserved.
Now today, at work, I feel like my throat would fare well being ripped from my body, and that my right leg from my hip down need be amputated. But God, doing shit like that is so much more fun, I think that was one of the most fun things I've done in a while, and I've been having lots of fun lately, so it's not in weak company. It kinda reminded me of when I hiked the swiss alps over the summer.
