His family moved from NY to AL (boy what a culture shock
). My uncle and family moved from SC to AL (not so much of a shock). I used to visit unc/fam during summers. Future hubby and I were just friends but got kinda serious one summer..right before his family moves to KY. Forward..a couple years, he happens to be in town the day my cousin gets married (another part of the puzzle I won't go into). He and I get into a disagreement about Greeks..foward 8 years, we both happen to move to Houston and start dating/living together, etc. Of course the Houston economy bites the dust bigtime so I head back to GA. He goes to KY and MS (I tell him when he gets to a place where I can find a decent job, there's hope)..anyway, he FINALLY moves to GA. We got married May 99 (yesterday was 3 years on the day he proposed..beautiful flowers, nice dinner..watch Braves game..what can I say....)
I've shortened this b/c I don't want to say how many yearrrrrrsss this took!
But we are still together after all these years when several weddings we went to ended up in divorce.
I told him if this relationship didn't work out, I'd just get a great dog!
