the ones that got away - some for the good, others for the worse
Anyone think about that guy(or girl for the guys) you talked to all night and clicked with, were instantly attracted to like crazy, or talked for a few times over the phone and hung out with(maybe kissed, but nothing else), and then just disappeared from your life? I have a few that "got away," but its always fun to think back.
There was DJ, a 23 yo just out of the Marines. About 5'8', cute blond hair/blue eyes, but even better was conversation. He was such a motivated person and had a good head on his shoulders. He came up to me at a bar ( I was in a Guess dress), so he came up to me and basically said," Guess ? ...Guess my name?" And after 30 tries, I gave up. But I hung out with him for 2 nights, nothing ever really happened. Then I got really busy with AXO, homecoming and never saw him again.
One more that got away, Steve, met him at a bar in St. Louis. Was a cutie, My friend and I met him and his friend, and being that we were nowhere near as drunk as anyone else at the club and didn't plan on getting that way, We all hung out all night. Again, he was absolutely gorgeous and awesome to talk to. We planned on meeting again, but school started up and I moved back.
Ironically, I dont think bars are the best place to meet guys, but that's where I met my "ones that got away." But they got away and I'll probably never see them again. Still I wonder every now and then ...
