i don't mind if mothers breastfeed, discreet or not.
This past weekend i visited 2 friends who both have 8 wk old sons and are both breastfeeding. At the one friend's house, she just started feeding without saying anything. Actually the only time she asked me anything was just before bed because I was sleeping on her couch and she wanted to know if she should feed in her chair or go to her room. WE've been friends since highschool though and have seen each other changing plenty of times.
My other friend did ask before feeding and although she didn't use a blanket, her t-shirt was barely lifted so i didn't see much anyway. (besides we were at her home)
If I were to breastfeed, I'm sure I'd keep a blanket handy, although I'm the type that, currently, would love to go around topless, except our society is not ready for that (and my body is no longer in such a great shape to be shown). But I'll conform to society so that I don't have some crazy person freak out on me.
Now, if i can only decide on whether or not to actually have a chld...
