Sorry, but I have to disagree.
My snotty little sub-division is made up mostly of veterans dating back to World War II and up through Vietnam.
The guy directly across the street is a former Royal Canadian Air Force fighter pilot from WWII who participated in the Battle of Britain.
It isn't a matter of conformity, but rather a matter of patriotism and honor.
