My sister was in an accident.....

My younger sister was in an accident last night that caused her Xterra to spin on two wheels and eventually flip onto its side (driver's side). Her friend, the only passenger in her vehicle, hopped out of the passenger side window. My sister couldn't get out through that window, so she had to get out through the window at the rear of the Xterra.

My sister wasn't wearing her seatbelt and has some scrapes, very bad bruises, and some minor pain. She hasn't gone to the hospital (I think she is scared), but I told her that if she didn't want to go to the hospital that she needed to go and see her doctor first thing tomorrow so that he could do a thorough check-up. My sister never wears her seatbelt. In fact, she didn't wear it last night on her way home after the accident either.

I was out last night when I got the call from my sister so I went to the scene. It wasn't pretty. The entire front end of the Nissan Sentra that hit my sister was smashed in. Everyone in that car appeared to be fine though.

I'm not sure if my sister will begin to drive more cautiously or begin to wear her seatbelt -- probably not -- but I hope she wisens up a little. Anyway, I had to "vent" I suppose.
