And yes, there is a problem with desecrating or disrespecting any book, but no book is worth dying for and certainly not killing for. Perhaps your interpretation of Islam differs from those in the middle east that did want to kill and did die after Newsweek released a report; I don't know.

That may be true, but as someone is outside my faith, your opinion of the "rifts" (put in quotes to signify that I'm not acknowledging that there is one) in Islam is irrelevant to me. I don't believe that killing anyone is right, and those that try to twist God's word for their own personal agenda will have to answer for that.
