Is this an inaccuracy? In the book 50 Greatest Black Moments in the Olympics it states that Alice Coachman received a banquet from "her" sorority Delta Sigma Theta. And it also says the same thing on multiple DST websites. However, in the late 1990's I saw a report saying that she was made an honorary AKA.
Well anyways, if you do a google search, she appears on both AKA and DST Famous Sorors lists. Maybe she is both...
