It's just that Kellogg on marketing and also has good connections with management consulting comps like McKinsey. Stanford has more of a connection to business strategy/VC types. Stern would be more helpful to finance with smaller firms in the NYC area.
Either way, unless you apply to Tuck I think you'll be happy wherever you live
