What is the REAL issue that some people have with Blacks, Asians, Latinos/Latinas or other minorities in "white" sororities and fraternities??! I am Jewish/Black in a "white" sorority. It was MY decision to rush with MY friends who I wanted as MY sisters. My choice to be in my sorority is MY business, no one else's. I , too, get sick of people assuming I'm in a Black sorority when they see me dressed in a certain color or if I say I'm Greek. I don't point fingers and ask why didn't a DST become an AKA instead, or a Zeta, why aren't you a Sigma Gamma Rho, so get out of my business and let me have fun with my lifelong sisters as I let you have fun with yours. And yes, white sororities DO have active alum chapters, and some have AMUMNI INITIATIONS too.

You are right it is your business. And I don't see anyone saying the opposite. We are all responding to a thread topic with our various positions. So calm down and go have fun with your lifelong sisters. No one here is stopping you.
Oh and thanks for reiterating info we were given earlier in the thread. Like I said before, I learned something new regarding ALUMNI Initiations in GLOs.
