Which brings us to the Connecticut Compromise. This is what allowed all states, regardless of population, to be united. The Electoral College is obviously derived from this, and its form serves its function.

People can advocate a constitutional amendment all they want. They're just wasting their breath because it will never pass. Never. I usually say, "never say never," but in this case, I'm saying never. Just to make myself clear, its spelled n-e-v-e-r. If by some miracle an ammendment to abolish the Electoral College was passed by Congress, it would never be passed by 3/4 of the state legislatures. Never.
