One thing that has really helped me is writing down what I eat and how much I work out everyday.
It helps me to keep track of where my calories are coming from, where I should cut back, and how my exercise is progressing.
It's motivational, too, because I really want to be able to record that I ran a little further or tried a new ab routine, etc.
