I attended a preview of it last night at Queen's Surf for Sunset on the Beach and the entire cast was there.
I liked it so far, and I'm hoping that it does well because we haven't had a successful series filmed here since Magnum P.I. and Hawaii 5-0.
Before y'all start making reservations for the Grand Waimea, remember that it's fictitious. They use some outdoor shots of the Turtle Bay Hilton on the North Shore, but the hotel lobby you see is a set on a soundstage at the Film Studios in Diamond Head.
The cast has grown to love the food at my bar and hopefully they'll become regulars. Jay Johnson (old Philip from Days of our Lives) is my champion cigarette lighter!
Brooke Burns is a sweetheart who simply LOVES Hawaii.
There will be two other series filmed here, one called "Hawaii" that will be on NBC and another one called "Lost" that will air on the WB.
