Cubs GM Jim Hendry has talked to Greg Maddux's agent, Scott Boras, and said he is interested in the free-agent pitcher, who could return to the team where he began his big-league career. Maddux was the Cubs' second-round draft pick in June 1984 and won his first Cy Young with the team in 1992 when he went 20-11 with a 2.18 ERA.
