When my parents adopted my two sisters (finally! legacies), I did this more than I care to admit.
It makes a great lullabye though, since you can repeat it pretty much endlessly.
Luckily, they liked it. Hopefully it'll trigger a positive emotional reaction when they go through rush someday and not put them to sleep.
