He was just stupid like that. Those that didn't bow down to him, he didn't have much to do with. Needless to say, we didn't get along at all.
But, I've heard the same thing about mentors. I am in the process of trying to find a mentor in the HR dept. now.

I agree with Steeltrap, I feel that AA feel threatened and therefore we don't help any of our AA peers move up in our organizations. How sad, considering other races do it all the time. They look out for each other and if they hear something interesting they tell each other. I have made a promise to any of my friends, if I move up or get another job then I will try to hook you up or I'll put in a good word for you.
