That is such a shame. I remember most episodes of RR and most of the books that were featured and the actors/actresses that read them and/or appeared on the show. My favorite episode of RR is the one where Danny Glover read Abiyoyo, an African folk tale and then the theme of the show was music and Run D.M.C. were the special guests and they did a rap about reading and then LeVar Burton showed the kids how they produce the music for the show and talked with the head music guy, and it was so cool!!!
It would be such a shame if RR went off the air
. Children today do not read enough and RR really did a good job of encouraging kids to read without turning the show into a mass-market machine.
