And just to make sure history doesn't get re-written here: At no time did Alpha Xi Delta say "You must have X members by this date or else." The admiration between AXiD and NBO runs two ways, and a little deeper than such a shallow rephrasing might indicate. And besides, "or else" really isn't our style!
