We do it very differently in my chapter-- you get you big/ little the night of your pinning. The girls do make a list and we try to match it up but since you might not really have gotten to know all of the girls she might be really surprised. I think getting someone not on your list is good. If it is someone on your list that proably means that you already know her and will remain close to her in the sorority. But if you get someone that is not on your list that means that you will get closer to one more person a little faster than you would before.
