I understand that being at a commuter school with little greek participation is difficult, but to sit and say the nationals at your school don't do anything isn't very nice, especially when they are organizations in which some of us belong (D Phi E and Phi Sig).
From the sounds of it, Greek Unity isn't very prevalent, and the Greek Community isn't offering students what they are looking for in terms of sorority life. My suggestion is re-evaluate what you're doing as a sisterhood. Instead of working against each other, talk to members of the other sororities on campus and work on a real Go Greek plan instead of a go D Phi E or AOX.
I know at my school, there was an interest group of 30 women who wanted to start their own sorority b/c what the others had to offer wasn't what they were looking for. Fortunately, Panhel and campus said no, and these girls found out that what they were looking for was out there in D Phi E.
Sorry if I sounded bitchy in paragraph #1, but I never appreciate one of my chapters being put down.
