It seems KRS’ gesture was for naught, as Nelly calls out KRS on his verse from Beanie Sigel and Freeway’s “Roc The Mic” remix. Never one to shy away from a battle (ask Prince Be), KRS has responded with “The Real Hip Hop Is Over Here”, where KRS not only criticizes Nelly’s “N-Sync commercial” style of rap, but also asks for fans to boycott Nelly’s upcoming LP.
Now, let's just be real for a second, ok? WTH is NELLY to try and diss my dude KRS-ONE??? Don't he know?? Knowledge Rules SUPREME Over Nearly Everyone!!!!! Now, there are some people you just don't diss. KRS is one of them. Rakim is another. And although fairly new on the scene, Eminem is yet another (the boy is bad, ok?) Now, when Nelly first came out, I was diggin the one country soundin' rap song. But I ain't know ALL his mess was gon' be like that. Why people dissin' JD?? He ain't a rapper! Is he?
