Any new posters who've felt snapped at, her post explains perfectly why sometimes people get jumpy or snappy. Compare it to every time you walk into your home finding a window broken or a lock picked. It does put you on your guard for a long time.
Mikki - I don't think anyone is advocating "sweeping things under the rug" by not posting hazing or similar stories. The way I look at it is that's part of my mucho extended Greek family - and if anybody in my family is hurting I don't want to do anything to make it worse. I personally think we get farther discussing things like that in the abstract than singling out XYZ at Bigold State U if they are trying to dig out of whatever hole they've gotten into.
