I have a legal question regarding badges: if one reports a badge stolen and then it turns up for sale on ebay, can that person rightfully claim the badge as his/hers? (I mean, if this is within the statute of limitations and all.) If this is legal, does anyone know if it is ever done?
Another question: is there is an organized system for someone who is perusing ebay/antique stores/whatever to find out from his/her org if a badge there is reported missing or stolen? I don't think we have one in DG, but wish we did!
Just some things I've been wondering about for a bit.
