A question about Universities in the Los Angeles area... and transferring issues...?

I'm at Indiana University, currently rushing Phi Sigma Sigma (whoo hoo). Anyways, Probably by my junior year, I'll be transferring to the Los Angeles Area...probably be residing somewhere in either Westchester or the South Bay area. Does anyone have any info on any of the schools with greek life in that area? Also, if I pledge PhiSig, can I go alum there and rush at another campus, different soror when I leave?

Just curious.

*ps, I'm kinda VERY interested in either Loyola or USC or UCLA.

Any ideas?

If you pledge an NPC sorority and are initiated, you cannot join another NPC group.

Therefore, to answer your question, you cannot join Phi Sigma Sigma, then go alum and join another sorority. Perhaps after you move you can get involved in a local alum group.

Try checking out the website(s)

TechAPhi is right, once you make the commitment to an NPC sorority, you cannot join another. You have a couple choices. You can rush Phi Sigma Sigma and just go alum if your next college does not have a chapter. Or, you can check out the websites of the schools you think you're likely to attend later...and then try to rush a sorority at your current school which has a chapter at your next school (does that make sense?). Similarly, you should check out the Phi Sigma Sigma national website to see the list of their current chapters (and look to see if there's one at USC, UCLA, or Loyola).

One last thing, USC and UCLA both have strong greek systems, especially USC. I don't know about Loyola. Of course, when weighing the options, there is no choice....anybody who is a somebody would attend USC hands down.

Fight On!

Well said Kelly!

There is no Phi Sig at USC or Loyola, and am pretty sure none at UCLA.
