I just heard this. How sad for all involved. I'm a bone marrow donor myself but I've yet be matched up.

It's sad, I lost two family members and even a family physician to leukemia.

I hope more and more people sign up with the national registry. They could be a match for someone and not even know it.

I am also on the registry, and have been for about 10yrs. I was called as a potential match a little over 4 yrs ago. I was pg at the time, so they couldn't use me. It was exciting to recieve the call saying I may match someone and they want more testing--- but on the screening questions the "are you pg? yes." told me thank you- I would be removed from the list for 6 months.
