I do like the dresses at JCrew, but could you borrow one from a friend in a different sorority?

I lent mine to my friend whose sorority used white dreses for pinnings too. Unfortunately she forgot that she's a lot taller than me so it was a little too short! It made for a pretty funny story later though.

Try Anastasia's Attic on the square in 'boro. It's near Marina's on the Square. They might have one or be able to tell you where one might be.

Also, try JCPenney.com and ebay. JCpenney has their summer catalog out. So, they should have some white dresses in stock. Have them either send it to your house or the store at Stones River.

Are you sure that your sisters don't know some alumnae that would have a dress you could borrow?

How fast do you need it? I got my dress from the Newport News Catalog

www.newport-news.com

Here are some of the dresses available in white
these 2 are $15

These 2 are $39

they also have white skirts (I just bought one) and if you can do a skirt and blouse that would be good. Since they are out of Virginia, it would get there pretty quick

Hope this helps

H&M had some white stuff too. I thought I saw some at Ann Taylor the other day but maybe not...Sears has a white suit online too. Victoria's Secret usually has some options for white dresses.

Well I suppose this is a huge fashion faux pas since we're Greek women and are supposed to be completely fashionable all the time (right?! ) and also becauses no one's brought it up... but when my pledge class was pinned, there were many actives in the house offering up white clothes/dresses because they knew many of us wouldn't have thought to bring them/couldn't necessarily rush right to the mall to buy something. (Actives wore black, new members wore white.)

Then again... maybe people get embarassed by borrowing clothes... personally I just see my friends' clothes as an extension of my closet.
