Single = WTF Is Wrong With You??

Great article in today's USA Today that says that society is beginning to see divorced people in a better light than "singletons"....Interesting read...

Certainly some truth in what that article says about contemporary public perceptions and societal views.

Didn't you know? It's impossible for anyone over 25, women especially, to have a full and satisfying life without being married.

No worries. Just marry any random guy. If it doesn't work out, divorce him. Either way, you will have been married, so nobody will be asking you what's wrong with you.

I think the only people that worry about this sort of bs are those dorks out there that are all hung up on marriage and being attached.

If I'm like 43 and not married and someone things it's b/c I'm a criminal or whatever, they can piss off. I would bet that I had a lot more fun in my 43 yrs of being free than they have in their 9 failed marriages.

Or having children. And if you're over 30, you can just forget it!

Yes, if you're not married people are upset about that. If you are married and you don't have (want) children people are upset about that. I just don't think you can win if you choose to go a "non-traditional" route.

You can always win when you don't give a rat's ass what anyone thinks of your lifestyle choices. That works very well for me.

Got to agree here. I just could care less what people think. I like the last line of the article best, I've been single so long that I'm used to it.

If I find a guy great but if not, oh well. I'm still saving up for that big house I'm going to buy..........

I just turned 40 and have yet to marry. Sorry, Mom and Dad... if you're expecting an 'heir and a spare' to carry on the family name, don't hold yer breath!

If people look down on me 'cause I'm still single... f*ck 'em if they can't take a joke.
