My family is doing ours tonight. Traditionally, for Mexican families, the Rosca is done tonight. I'm not quite sure why. I'll have to ask mom b/c she knows a lot more than I do. I just enjoy the bread & hope I don't get the baby.

Y'all, what they're talking about is that at Hispanic 3 Kings' Days celebrations, we often get a Kings' Cake--Rosca de Reyes-- that has a little glass baby baked into it and whoever gets the piece with the baby has to give the next celebration. Traditionally, it's a party on Candlemas (Feb. 2), but some families just say you give the first Christmas party next year or the next 3 Kings' Day party.
My family will be at a big celebration on the 8th...the kids can't wait for the piņata! Da le, da le, da le!

In my religious tradition, today is celebrated as Epiphany. We get extra days of Christmas, longer with the tree, and sometimes more presents.
