I am such a dork
Ok, I realize how juvenile this is, but my grandpa just bought me the Return to Tiffany's chain link bracelet. I am just so ecstatic today. Plus, I am going to the *NSync concert tonight with my little sister (my real one). I know, I am so random. And it's days like this that I feel so blessed to have what I have. Blessed to be in the most powerful and glorious country in history that allows it's citizens to exercise such free will. Blessed to have the ability to attend college and receive such an amazing educational opportunity. Blessed to have all 5 senses functioning (even if I have to wear glasses when I drive!). Blessed to have both parents still alive and family and friends that care about me. I just had to say it. Have a splendid summer day everyone and let the mockary begin....

No mockery intended! I also feel that way sometimes!
I'm glad that I can attend a great university (one that now pays its teachers what they deserve) and take advantage of its opportunities. I see my friends wasting their time..not making any effort whatsoever even though their parents are paying $$$ to send them to get higher education. I just don't get it.
I'm glad that I have a loving BF who makes it a point to let me know that I am a special person. Though he's out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean right now and email's been down, he still tries to email every day just to remind me that he's thinking of me. I see the drama that my friends are going through with their SO's and I'm happy to say that I'm lucky to have a man like Brady.
I'm glad to be a part of a wonderful sisterhood. Initiation was just the beginning of my sisterhood...and meeting 650+ of my sisters in Atlanta definitely gave me a better appreciation of what AGD is about.
I'm glad to have Internet access because without it and without GC I'd be isolated! GC was where I met my first XOs...Pi Phis...Sigma Chis...LXAs (didn't forget about you TOM EARP!). That's why I get GC withdrawals when the system's down.
Finally, I think I'm most happy about this...well, today at least. I'm happy that NSYNC's new CD "Celebrity" comes out today! I'm glad that I got paid on Friday so I can go out and buy it...hopefully avoiding them teenyboppers! I'm also planning to get Alicia Keys' CD.
It took a post like yours to make me realize that I too am lucky. Thanks pbpck! Have fun at the concert tonight...I hear the PopOddysey tour is awesome!

pbpck-
That is wonderful that your day is going so well. I am completely jealous that you are going to the N*SYNC concert!! (They may be kind of corny, but they sure can DANCE!) I hope you have many more great days to come!

Thank god, I am not the only one. C'mon...everyone has to have those moments to just bust out a little *NSync, Britney, even better yet...Paula Abdul, MCHammer, Bel Biv Devoe, Toni Tone Tony and NKOTB. Haha. Thank for not making fun of me everyone.
I guess I just wanted to give everyone a chunk of happiness to take with them to work, school, etc. today. It's crazy that I was never a "computer person," and how I have never even met any of y'all, but it just makes me so happy to know what a strong community greeks are and how sweet everyone is. Everyone one of us on here, just adds so much to educate not only rushee's, but eachother. And not solely about greek oriented topics, but life. So thank you everyone for all that you have taught me.

Awww, Jacque, i'm glad that you're so happy!!!!! Have a great time at that concert ok?
I know what you mean - everyday I have to remind myself to count my blessings, seeing the news about missing persons, mauled persons, drowned persons, disabled persons, etc. etc. - how lucky we are to be alive and healthy and well and to have family and friends that love us! Thanks for reminding me again , sometimes I take life for granted!!!!
BTW, sorry for the delay in the email! I'll try to write you back either today or tomorrow!

Oh this is so beautiful! This is why Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays. When you read the papers and listen to the news about the rest of the world it makes you grateful to be an American. I am very grateful to be a member of the Greek family and to learn so much from other Greeks and for Greek Chat! I am also blessed to have a wonderful boyfriend also (how does he put up with me?) Have a blessed week everybody!

I'm happy that I start summer school tonight (cuz its the first step to graduation soon!) And that my family is good, my friends are great and that I got the new NSYNC CD for $9.99!!! But I didn't get to see the concert as they are doing a stadium tour and we sure don't have one of those here!

I guess I am grateful that I have a new truck, I have had a stress-free summer (for the most part), I got a good tan, have a good friend coming to visit me next week, am moving into my own apartment on sunday, and am going to Dalla snext week with a friend (all expenses paid) because she wants to see Stevie Nicks in concert, August 23, I will be seeing Counting Crows in Austin, and September 12 I'll be seeing Robert Earl Keen again (it'll be the 8th time, but its still an awesome show), and I got to meet the band meembers of Reckless Kelly after their show a few months back. I am also grateful that my sisters baby is healthy now. Now I jsut need a new jobby job, and to go on a date with someones whos not a serial killer in the making .

No way! How did you get the CD for 10 bucks, girl? PS: How awesome is this CD? Even if you aren't an NSync fan, get this CD. A very masculine and adorable guy at my work overheard my coworkers bashing me for going to the Nsync concert the other night. He met me at the vending machine and asked if I had bought the new CD. Well, I haven't had a second to go shopping lately, so that was a negative. He smiled and released a "shhhh" as he slipped me the new CD, like some kind of clandestine drug smuggle with a bunch of FBI agents around us (my "anti" coworkers). It was so adorable. Haha. Guys, even you can buy the CD.
