Does Anyone Remember Prodigy??
I remember using it as a child to visit the Babysitter's Club website,lol. Anyone know what happened to it?

They were bought/merged with SBC Communications. They have become "SBC Prodigy."

I remember Prodigy. My family got it back in, oh, '87 or so. We had the cryptic 7-character user IDs and the ugly low-resolution interface... My parents hung onto it until they got broadband a couple of years ago.

I LIVED for that Babysitter's Club website!!! That and some site that had MadLibs on it. It's kind of funny when I think about using Prodigy now... I had no idea I was using the internet... then again, I was 8 and e-mail and the likes weren't used quite as much as now...

YES. I loved the Babysitter's Club website. There was a section where you could ask Ann M. Martin a question and she would supposedly respond to you. I would always ask these off-the-wall questions just to see what kind of response I'd get and, of course, I'd get the usual canned response sent out by one of her interns.
