Beta Sigma Phi License Plates

Apparently, you can order a Beta Sigma Phi specialty license plate in Louisiana.

Have any of you folks from LA seen one of them? I couldn't find a picture on the web, but it sounds pretty neat.

The plates are really pretty. It's a white plate with our crest on the left hand side of the plate with Beta Sigma Phi written under the crest. On the right hand side of the plate they have the number sequence of the plates (i.e. 1, 2, 3,...). Between the crest and the numbers they have the letters UBS (in case you have the use the plate for emergency or ticket reasons). I think though that you have to be registered in LA for a numbered plate, but you might be able to inquire about a 000 numbered plate.

I'm from LA and haven't seen the plates yet. Now I wish I had a car so I could get one!

Have you checked New York DMV web site? NY has more special plates than one would think having seen demo's at NY car show.

NOTE:
How do I make a suggestion for a picture plate, or get a picture plate created for my organization?

Effective August 2, 2004, pursuant to the Commissioner's discretionary authority under sections 404(1) and 404-l of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, the Department of Motor Vehicles temporarily suspended consideration and approval of requests for creation of new custom plate series. This moratorium does not apply to those plate series mandated by law or those which have already been approved administratively, nor does it extend to the modification of existing contracts to which the Department is already a party. The moratorium will continue in effect until the criteria for approval of new custom plate series has been reviewed and the Commissioner's regulations updated accordingly. :>(
