Talking Kudos to Locals!-Question

I must say that you local ladies are a terrific representation of local sororities. You are all a far cry from the images of "Sorority Life"! You are all stand up groups. You changed my opinion of locals. Before I came here, I had the same stereotype in my mind that most have about locals.

I have a random question for you all. What is your philanthropy?

Thank you so much. That really means a lot to me. . We do several philanthropies throughout the year. Our biggest one is a blood drive that we sponsor once a semester on campus. We also do a penny drive for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, mentoring through Liberty Partnerships. This year we also went to a local dialysis center and handed out goody bags and activity kids to patients, are painting a mural at a school for children with autism, and doing a Christmas party at the school. Pretty much, if anyone has an idea for a philanthropy project that she wants to do, we bring it up at meetings and then do it.

Ours is the Breathe Better Foundation in Denver. They do asthma research and education, and the reason that we chose them was that one of our sisters in the very first pledge class died during an asthma attack.

Thanks for being so sweet!

THANKS!

We also do a blood drive once a semester which is ALWAYS successful. We participate in a penny carnival at our school each spring. We also do Bowl For Kids Sake and take part in our school's Sig Tau days which raises for Big Bros Big Sis. And we can't forget campus clean-up!
There are always various little things that come up every semester too!
