I met John at G.A. and we had the opportunity to talk quite a few times between events. Great guy! Looked like Mr. Clean
I've had an affinity for High Point ever since Brother Tom (Augie Doggie) Robinson transferred to Florida Tech and affiliated with our chapter. He was cool too and once I even drove with him to NC, saw the school, etc, and boarded the train (appropriately named "The Crescent") for New York. [BTW - High Point is so named because it's the highest point on Southern Railway's line from NY to New Orleans - now that's trivia].
Brandon English and I have also e-mailed a bunch in the past. Brandon does re-enactments as in Civil War, etc., and collects LCA memorabilia.
It's really neat to have known a few brothers from Iota-Phi who are spread out over the years: Tom '75, John '93, and Brandon '03(?) and that John is now officially working for all of us. He took good care of High Point and no doubt will take good care of us too. He deserves respect, not because he was a cop, not because he's at IHQ, but because he has earned it.
In ZAX,
Jono
