Thumbs up Tax is going down

Is this a 1st for Canada? The PST in BC is being dropped - only .5%, but it is still being dropped. I like this economic growth thing...

.5% is good right? You'll be tied with Ontario for the highest tax rate!

Actually Ontario's is much, much higher that 0.5%

Here are the four rates based on the product or service:
8%for most goods and taxable services
5% for transient accommodation
10% for admission to places of amusement and sales of alcohol
12% for alcohol sold by the LCBO

BC PST was 7.5%. It has dropped back to 7%. I remember a time however when BC PST was only 6% and there was no GST!
