Can you say fugly? I hate that word and never use it, so when I do use it, you know it's a "special occasion."

OMG!!! That thing is hideous! At first I thought it was just a regular Pi Phi sweatshirt and I couldn't figure out why you had posted it in this thread. Then I looked a little closer and...oh eww, just EWWW.

My mom is obsessed with ponchos. She tried to make me wear one over my formal dress for when I went to Memphis for the boy's formal. She was highly unsuccessful in this venture however.

One of the girls that went to Italy with me this summer wore a pair of those Chinese slippers while walking around all of Florence, Venice, etc. Anyone who has been there knows that those shoes are about the LAST thing anyone should be wearing while walking around there...

I like ponchos! They remind me of the 70s. I don't wear anything but a white one though. I don't like the slippers. And, UGGs are ridiculous. How are people not sweltering in those, wearing 'em through the summer?

By the way, somebody mentioned galoshes. I NEED some functional ones - it's been flooding 'round here!

If I'm going to spend that much on fashion, I want it to be something that is seasonless and won't ever go out of style. This includes a nice pair of pumps, jeans, peacoat, cardigan, etc. Certainly not an ugly poncho or Uggs!

I was at the mall with my roommate yesterday and I saw the ugliest poncho at Bloomingdales. I said to her, "I would never wear one of those. They're ugly and they'll be out of style within the next two months." She turned red and admitted that she bought one the other day. I almost felt bad but then I didn't.

BTW, they're selling imposter Uggs at this one discount shoe store in a hot pink color. I almost vomited.

Yikes! That is fugly! However, I like ponchos. i think some of them are quite attractive. Now Ugg boots on the other hand are not. They look good on no one.

Ponchos... ugh... no.

Maybe a solid color is okay once in a while... but I've seen some with CRAZY granny prints all over them.

And that sweatshirt is overkill.

Personally, I LIKE to have sleeves on my clothing.

Down with ponchos! They are way too trendy for my taste. I do, however, like wearing this one lacy shawl and pinning it with a broach near my shoulder. I suppose that's sort of poncho-like, but I've been doing it for years, way before it was trendy. I haven't done it much since every teenybopper and her mother started wearing ponchos.

I am old enough to remember ponchos in the 1970s. Unfortunately, I was given a couple for my birthday a couple of weeks ago by my nephew's GF.

See, this I considered. It's a cute look and different enough. However, I swear I could not pull the plastic out to pay for it. LOL!
