I'm creating the NLC - Nebraskans for the Lynching of Callahan
First, a loss to a non-conference, non-ranked team at home, on the Cherished Tom Osborne Field.
Now, the worst loss in the famed 114 year history of the University, against an unranked team to boot. The Most Points ever scored against Nebraska. The Largest margin of defeat in history.
Callahan's predecessor was fired after having 58 wins in 6 seasons.
Nebraska deserves better than this. Hence, the committee. Who's with me?

yeah, doesn't feel too good when someone drops 70 on ya huh?
Don't act like the Huskers have never dropped 70 on anyone in their time.
That being said, i'll start the FFLASP, Football Fans Laughing at Scott Pederson for firing Solich. I hope Solich takes over at Iowa State and owns Callahan every year.

oh weird, you run up the score on people for decades, then cry like women when it's done to you?
No sympathy from the state to the east, boys - take it like men, you're paying for the sins of your forefathers and that "great nebraska tradition" . . . NowledgeU earned this whipping.

Bill Callahan is probably the dumbest coach in football.
Trying to change tradition and insert a west coast offense into a running team? WTF happened to the vaunted blackshirt D?
No wonder Chuckie handed your ass on a platter in that Super Bowl.

Way to go Tx Tech!!!
(I was hoping we would beat Nebraska since it was our homecoming, but I never thought we would win by 60 points.)

Sorry Docetboy, youre not going to find me on that committee.
Youve got the entirely wrong attitude about this whole thing. The Blackshirts can only keep the WCO in the game for so long and 7 turnovers, including 4 within your own 20 - well that's forgiveable for the defense. Up until that game, the defense had only given up 28 points on 19 turnovers which is just amazing.
And while I still think that a perfectly run option is the most beautiful play in football, it was only a matter of time that we could stick with it and still win compete.
Further, we're still in position to win the big 12 north. We're going to beat K State, and missouri, there not as good as any one thought.
Finally, Callahan and staff are going to be able to outrecruit nearly anyone in the country. Weve already got a top 10 recruiting class right now, and there's still a long way to go.
Next season is going to be better, as we return nearly everyone, and we add this recruiting class. And we're still not at the point that we need to give up hope on this season.

Nothing personal here -- I've liked most of the folks I've met from Nebraska -- but a little humility coming from Lincoln in the Fall of the year is not a bad thing.
You don't keep a storied program like that one down for long, though. I'm sure the Hucksters will be back.

Yeah, but at least we usually threw in our third string after awhile so those kids could get some playing time and not run up the score SO much.
Besides 62-24 against UF is tons of fun.
