This weekend was visitation days for COB at my school-but now it's tuesday and i haven't heard anything from Panhel or any houses.

Does this mean I'm cut from every house?

I rushed last spring and hated the cold trek from house to house. There were too many girls, too few houses, and lots of early cuts, and I didnt go through with it. Afterward, I did COB with one house, but that didnt work out either . A house that was colonizing didnt take me, and they said they were looking at GPAs mostly (I have a 3.2, that's not that low, is it?)

I guess I'm too much of a loser and not meant to be greek
I wouldn't say you were a loser because you may have gotten cut. I only applied once but I didn't make it into my sorority until five years after I graduated. Sometimes it takes a while longer to find where you belong and unless you are graduating in December hopefully you'll have time to find your place.

Hiya Brother! I'm a member of both Phi Sigma Pi and the sorority Alpha Xi Delta. I was totally able to manage the time between them, be reasonably active in both, and even hold office concurrently in the two. It takes a bit of balancing and time management, but it's definitely possible. We've had a few other girls in PSP who were also in sororities over the years, and they were all able to manage their time as well.

Good luck with your COB events!!!

You're a member of a greek-letter organization, even if it isn't a social sorority. There's nothing wrong with that. The only person here that's called you a loser is you!

There are many people on these boards whose only greek affiliation is a desire to join a social GLO, or participation in a non-social GLO. And there's nothing wrong with that! You are more than welcome to stick around, to talk about how things are in your non-social GLO, and to learn more about the social GLOs.

There are also a number of people on these boards who rush more than once via formal and/or informal recruitment periods.

It may be that a social sorority isn't in your future, and that's okay. Really! What's important is finding a group of people that you can call your friends, whether they're in a social GLO, non-social GLO, honorary, professional, academic, general-interest org, whatever. Focus on other areas of your interest, and in your classes, learn more about greek life from reading Rush threads here, and then decide if you want to rush again next semester or next year. It may be that houses will open up spots in January after they have members graduate in December, or it may be that you would have to wait until next year. And if you don't want to rush, that's fine.

Whao Lisally!

Depending on your situation and that of The Greek Orgs there, the Sororitys have a lot more regulations involved than can be beleived.

Many sad storys have come across the GC Boards, but in the long run, they do work out.

Keep a chin up and see what develops.

Open rush is a broader selction process.

I wouldn't be so hard on yourself. And even non-greeks are welcome here.

There are plenty of alternatives to NPC life though. Here is a good place to investigate some of those.
