Cool Favorite Buffett Song

Since we've got a roll call of Parrotheads here, I figured we should do a topic about favorite Jimmy Buffett songs. (Note his name is spelled Buffett - two Ts )

My top 5 are:
Changes in Lattitudes, Changes in Attitudes
In the Shelter
Love and Luck (one of Josh's and my songs )
Floridays
Creola

What's everyone elses?

Hmmmm... There are SO many. Let's see... in no particular order:

1) Coconut Telegraph
2) Tryin' to Reason with Hurrican Season
3) Last Mango in Paris
4) We are the People Our Parents Warned Us About
5) Frank and Lola
6) Who's the Blonde Stranger
7) If the Phone Doesn't Ring, It's Me
8) Incommunicado

I've got about a dozen more favorites! These are just the first ones that came to mind.

I narrowed it down to two:

Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes (my favorite drinking song)

Son of a son of a Sailor...I don't know why, but I like that song!

Question

Don't give me grief all you Parrotheads, but I am totally unfamiliar with Jimmy Buffett although I am sure I have heard his songs on the radio and just don't know it! Since so many of my fellow Greeks are apparently nuts about him, I think I will pick up one of his CD's and see what the fuss is about! So, my question is...if I am going to buy one Buffett CD, which one should it be? Thanks!

If you're going to buy any one CD, pick up "Songs You Know By Heart". That has the best known Buffett songs on it, and gives you an idea of what kind of music he plays. You'll love it, I promise!!!

I would have to say that some of my favorite songs are pretty much the entire songs you know by heart cd and False Echoes, Last Mango in Paris, Jamaica Mistaica, Stars Fell on Alabama, Bob Robert's Society Band, and Mental Floss, to name a few.

I was just wondering how you found out that he was a brother of APO? I thought that his only greek roots were at Auburn University where he pledged Sigma Nu, but didnt get initiated and he transfered to the university of southern mississppi and joined Kappa Sig? Just wonderin.

Happy listenin!

My top three are:
Fins
A Pirate Looks at Forty
One Particular Harbor

His new live album "Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays" (I think that's it) is awesome.
Oh, and never let your mom sing Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw at your birthday party with one of your friends.
