Free Baskin Robbins on Wednesday, May 2nd
Tomorrow, May 2nd, from 6-10 PM ONLY there will be a free scoop of ice cream given to you if you visit participating Baskin Robbins! I think most of them are partcipating nationwide, check out their website to be sure that your store is.
this is a total win-win situation! Each time they hand out a free scoop, a BOOK WILL BE DONATED to an organization, thus helping illiteracy. So do yourself a favor, do the world a favor...stop by, get a free scoop, help the cause of stopping illiteracy!
So spread the word to your friends, co-workers, etc. Everyone will be happy! Alright back to studying now.
Sorry my GC friends if I can't respond to your posts until at least Thursday, HUGE chem test

Thanks Newbie for the heads up!
I'm gonna bring all my sisters (Chapter event! Even though I have since gone Alum as of about a week ago ) to the BR near us, and like Theta-cutie said, we're gonna haveto split up and frequent other ones in our city, too, so not to overwhelm the BR employees! LOL...since there are 90+ people in our chapter!
It's too bad that more people have not replied to this thread...this is certainly a fabulous cause, considering that there are actually many people in the U.S. today who are illiterate. And they need our support!!!! Imagine not being able to read simple billboards along the highways...

LOL, IowaHawkeye, I just called the Chapter Prez and she was absolutely delighted!! She yelled to our other sisters, "GUESS WHAT! Free ice cream tomorrow!" Totally made our day, thanks again NEwbie . Especially since tomorrow is the last day of finals for some of our girls--we're gonna go out clubbing after getting our free scoop!!
Ahh, I'm gonna miss the good ol' days of college and Kappa...even though I am Alum now!

Find out if your local store is participating. Our closest store is not - we'll have to travel across town!

Last year they did this. My boyfriend and I got it right at the start time. We decided that it was so good, we should find the other Baskin Robbins in Baton Rouge. He *thought* he knew where it was.
Well, we drove around for about an hour or so, just wandering aimlessly about the city. We had just given up when we found it. But, I think the fates were punishing us or something, because the ice cream there was different flavors than at the first one, and it was just plain nasty!

Thanks, Newbie and IH!
We took our 15-passenger van to Baskin-Robbins, not a moving truck! The family set-up is: we have 9 girls and 4 boys, ages 1-almost 19. I gave birth to 8 and we adopted 5 from overseas.
Nine girls=nine rushes. Aieeee!!!!!!

WOW, that's so cool!!!!
Carnation, it must be so wonderful to watch all your kids grow up--all at different stages at a time, too! Where in the overseas are your adopted children from?
Sorry I'm so nosy!! I just think that is fantastic!! My grandma had seven kids, and it's very interesting to see how alike and yet how different they are...even though some are around 30 years apart!!!!!

Hi back!
2 from Japan, 1 each from the Philippines, Vietnam, and Guatemala! And they have cousins adopted from all over too plus 2 biological cousins who are half Korean. We have a mini-United Nations here!
