Kerry daughters receive rude awakening...

THE BOOS THAT ROCKED THE VOTE: KERRY DAUGHTERS RECEIVE RUDE AWAKENING AT MTV AWARDS
Sun Aug 29 2004 23:36:31 ET
MTV, ROLLING STONE and the rock and roll establishment -- past and present -- have cast their vote, and their man is John Kerry.
So on Sunday night when John Kerry's daughters were announced to speak at the annual MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS, the MTV youth were expected to welcome his daughters as pop culture princesses.
Instead, in an era of the unexpected, the daughters of the Democratic candidate were met with cheers -- AND JEERS -- during the live broadcast in Miami.
From the moment Alexandra and Vanessa started speaking, the boos outweighed anything close to cheers, and the reaction turned worse when the daughters asked the VIACOM youth to vote for their father. So shocked by the reaction, the taller of the two daughters tried to 'shhhhhh' her peers to no avail.

Not sure if the writer was watching the same VMA show as I was but....
they did get boos but nothing that outweighed cheers. When they asked for their father's vote at the end of their speech the crowd went pretty wild with what I would call "cheers."
I think anyone that actually watched the show would question the article...
The Bush twins also made a speech via satelite to the VMAs.

I actually watched, and I did hear an awful lot of "boos." To me, they did outweigh the cheers. And no, the Bush girls didn't get booed quite as much.

LOL, it's all how you want to take it or what you want to take from it.
In the end, both sets of daughters received boos. But it could be because people just didn't want to hear about more politics at the VMAs, or maybe not. Hell, I would have booed both sets of ssiters too. I would have been like "play some more shitty music!"

Sure. But just the same, everyone I know took it the same way I did.
Personally, I wouldn't boo their daughters. That's just dumb and classless.

Is anyone actually sober at the VMA's I wouldn't have been and would probably have give the Boo to both groups of daughters.
Unless they offered to serve me drinks.
