Risk Management CD - Powerpoint Presentation
Hey. I got the CD but can't open the Powerpoint presentations. Let me know if there is a trick, lol.
The first screen has a single word in a foreign language..no..not squirrel chatter, lol.
Sharon's cover letter refers to a Password screen but I didn't get that.
I like the new form!

Lynn, double check that your computer already has the program that allows you to run Powerpoint if you haven't already done so already.
I say this because I tried opening up a ppt file I had to watch for lecture and I discovered that my laptop didn't have a ppt program. I had to DL MS Office onto my system.

Thanks, Sandy. My computer says I have PP, lol. I was able to open it up to what looked like a PP screen with a garbled title at the top, the notes block at the bottom and the index on the side.
Oh well.. thankfully the word docs work, lol.
Will keep trying.

I get the same thing Lynn, but can open the .rtf versions with no problem at home. I am using Office 97 at home. I was going to try it on Office XP at work to see if it makes a difference. If you have an older version of Office than it was created in, it can be a problem sometimes. I think the .rtf versions have the same information on them so you can make overheads from them if needed.

I think Sharon's letter talked about having open your Power Point software FIRST, and then attempt to "open" the file that's on the CD. I did this and don't have a problem (miracle... I'm usually pretty bad at accessing, saving files, etc.).

Thanks. I did that too, lol. Will try some other time.
Dropped off the forms at the hall. The RM Coordinator appreciated them!
