No. I can't seem to find any national law very quickly, but I'm pretty sure it's against the law in every state.

There are many voter registration snafus... And they might all get counted... Then again, they might not be...
I heard that God is allowed to vote in L.A. Then I heard someone's dog or cat is also allowed to vote in California--and that was at least 10 years ago when I read it in the newspaper...

We also recently had a dog that was summoned to jury duty. The owners had a hard time convincing the goverment that it wasn't a real person but it was their dog.

I remember about 10 years ago, when I worked briefly for a mortgage processing company, that one of the customers they had was named "Almighty God". And he was in California.

To allegedly quote the late Mayor Richard Daly (not the present one): "Vote early and often."

The last time I checked the election law, you're not allowed to sell your vote in any way - meaning, places which "reward" those who vote & show their voting receipts can't even give them a free beverage (or whatever).

so you're saying this has to be a shady, under-the-table deal, like what most of my mom's family does for a living?

Where Prosecutors Say Votes Are Sold
By JAMES DAO
Published: August 29, 2004
LONDON, Ky., Aug. 26 - It was not so long ago, historians say, that some voting places in eastern Kentucky were virtual vote-buying bazaars. Brokers bartered half pints of whiskey and $10 bills for votes just outside polling station doors. The cheap ones could be bought for beer. The smart voters always sold twice.
