Cool HAIL KING BILLY!

Hey guess what! I was doing some family research, and it turns that I'm Scottish Royality. I am related to the House of Gordan, who have historicaly made up the Scottish high miliatrary (lots of titles come with that) and am from the direcnt linege of the founders of Clan Campbell (one of the "higher ups"). Also, the Thane, or Count or whatever of Berwickshire (sp?) shares my last name. How cool is that? Okay, I'll get off my high horse now. Any other Scottish people or anyone from anywhere in the British Isles on this board?

Hi Billy,

I probably have more Irish in me than Scottish, but I am definitely Scottish. My great grandfather came from Scotland. I don't know anything about who they were or what they did. Everytime I try to look stuff up I just feel like I'm going in circles.

Anyway,
That's really cool that you come from royalty. How did you find that out?

Thats cool Billy Yeah, how did you find out? I myself have some scotish and english blood in me from my moms side. On my dads side we originated from France, then moved to England where our named changed a bit, and then we came to the US. I dont think I have any royalty in my family but I have an ancestor on my moms side who was the builder of the U.S. Consititution. At least thats what I was told. That and I've heard that I might have some of Jesse James Blood. Not that I'm proud of that. Who knows *L*

Kevin

Hey Billy,

I've got Irish, Scotch, and Dutch in me. Family history says that one of my great-great grandmothers was a queen in the Netherlands. I've never researched to find out more, though. Who knows? Maybe there's a castle in Europe just waiting for me to claim it? heehee

Kevin, I did a serch on Dogpile. Plus my grandfather did most of the work, and sent us the results, which sparked my interest and I kinda just filled in the blanks.
Sigmagrrl, thats awesome!! You should take over France!
Sweet DZrose. That rocks go find your castle.
Shopgirl, what was the last name? Maybe I can help.

Cool

My great great great great grandfather was Merriweather Lewis, of "Lewis and Clark" fame. It was the big deal when I was growing up. My grandmother was all into that stuff - DAR and the like. Kinda cool knowing I am a descendant of the first American to cross the country and see the Pacific ocean.

congratulations everyone...

Lifesaver, that is hella cool!!! I forgot which book I read...but there was a book about the Lewis and Clark travels...a novel...and it totally fascinated me! (The events in the book are true; some characters and storylines were made up though.)

I also did a report about Lewis and Clark for US History!!!!!
