Jesus would probably think that charity for the poor is something that should be voluntary and not forced by Caesar.

ETA: The real question is "WWBBD?"

I saw her in the Iowa State Molecular Biology building once. She sang I Love Rock and Roll.

What would Brian Boitano do
If he was here right now,
He'd make a plan
And he'd follow through,
That's what Brian Boitano'd do.

When Brian Boitano was in the olympics,
Skating for the gold,
He did two sow cows and a triple lutz,
While wearing a blind fold.

When Brian Boitano was in the alps,
Fighting grizzly bears,
He used his magical fire breath,
And saved the maidens fair.

So what would Brian Boitano do
If he were here today,
I'm sure he'd kick an ass or two,
That's what Brian Boitano'd do.

I want this V-chip out of me,
It has stunted my vo-ca-bu-lar-y.

And I just want my mom
To stop fighting everyone

For Wendy I'll be an activist, too,
Cos that's what Brian Boitano would do.

And what would Brian Boitano do,
He'd call all the kids in town,
And tell them to unite for true
That's what Brian Boitano would do.

When Brian Boitano travelled through time
To the year 3010,
He fought the evil robot kings
and saved the human race again

And when Brian Boitano built the pyramids,
He beat up Kubla Khan.

Cos Brian Boitano doesn't take shit from an-e-y-body

So lets all get together,
And unite to stop our mom's
And we'll save Terrance and Phillip too,
Cos that's what Brian Boitano do.

And we'll save Terrance and Phillip too,
Cos that's what Brian Boitano dooooo,
That's what Brian Boitano do.

I think that if Jesus is the person we read about, and Christians believe in, he would tell both sides to clean up their acts, stop telling lies, do the best things (not the most politically popular) for the people and be kind to each other and everyone else.

So, he would be a centerist and moderate. He would not be a member of either party and not vote any party line. Like me.

Of course it would be much easier on him, because, to quote the musical Jesus Christ Super Star, "Israel in 4 BC had no mass communications." Read that TV ads.

I have to agree with DeltAlum. Both sides (meaning Democrats and Republicans) tend to believe Jesus/God is on their side, which to me, is a fallacy. Why? Jesus and God love everyone and want everyone to agree, which will never be because we're human. I have to agree that Jesus would say for everyone to clean up his or her act, no matter the political party, and to do what's right for everyone. I also do not believe Jesus would say giving to the poor should be forced or voluntary. I believe he would say that giving to the poor is everyone's responsibility. I believe he would say that the more you attain, earn, etc., the more is expected of you. Kind of like a "You don't use it, you lose it" deal. I truly believe those who don't do out of the kindness of their hearts will lose what they have because they ARE greedy, and greed doesn't get you anywhere, at least in my book.

Seeing as Jesus was a pacifist, my guess is that he would vote for one of the minor candidates that supports such views.
